Orange, Calif. -- The baseball team (3-3) dropped a 5-2 decision to #13 Chapman (14-4) Tuesday. The Bombers rallied for a pair of runs in the ninth before the Panthers closed the game out.

The Bombers put their first two runners on in the ninth; junior center fielder Mike Rosenbaum (Fayetteville-Manlius/Fayetteville) singled to lead off the inning with just the third hit in the game for the Bombers. Freshman shortstop Tim LoCastro (Auburn/Auburn) doubled Rosenbaum in and scored on an RBI groundout by senior right fielder Matt Streich (East Greenwich/East Greenwich, Conn.).

Ithaca plays at Redlands Wednesday at 3 p.m. PDT.
