#4 Bombers Roll To Wrestling Win At RIT

Rochester, N.Y. – The fourth-ranked wrestling team (5-0) earned bonus points in four of its seven wins en route to a 31-10 win at Rochester Institute of Technology.

Freshmen Alex Gomez (Brentwood/Brentwood) and Kevin Collins (Randolph/East Amherst) recorded consecutive falls, pinning their opponents at 141 and 149 pounds, respectively. Gomez, now 8-5 on the season recorded his third pin of the year (in 2:32). Collins raised his record to 7-9 with his second fall (in 3:33).

Senior Max Cohen (Williamsville East/Amherst) picked up his third major decision of the season, winning 14-4 at 125 pounds. He's now 6-7 this winter and 30-32 in his career.

Junior Jules Doliscar (Dix Hills/Trinity), ranked third nationally at 174 pounds, improved to 17-2 on the season by posting a 6-4 decision.

Senior Tom Heckman (Cedar Cliff/Mechanicsburg, Pa.) edged his opponent 6-5 at 197 pounds. Heckman's season record is 4-2 and his career mark is 33-32.

Senior Matt Mahon (Brighton/Rochester), Division III's eighth-ranked heavyweight, was a 7-1 winner to raise his season record to 11-3. Mahon is 76-29 overall as a Bomber.

Freshman Grant Dickey (Cedar Cliff/New Cumberland, Pa.) won by medical forfeit at 165 pounds. His record stands at 7-9.

The win raised Ithaca's all-time record over the Tigers to 43-16; the Bombers have won 25 of the last 27 meetings.

The Bombers are back in action Saturday, hosting Oswego at 4:30 p.m.
