Biography


2011-12: Cohen wrapped up his career with seven victories and his third straight appearance on the ECWC All-Academic Team. He was named ECWC Wrestler of the Week after helping the Bombers to wins over Rochester Institute of Technology and Oswego. Cohen was a winner by major decision at RIT and pinned his opponent against the Lakers. He began the year with a sixth-place finish at the season-opening Ithaca Invitational.

2010-11: Cohen made his first trip to the NCAA Championships after placing second at the ECWC Championships. He was a wild-card selection to nationals where he went 1-2, giving him 18 wins on the season. Three of his victories were by major decision. Cohen won the 125-pound title at the Ithaca Invitational. He earned all-state honors with an eighth-place finish at the all-division state championships and took fourth at York’s New Standard Corporation Invitational. He was named to both the NWCA Scholar All-America Team and the ECWC All-Academic Team.

2009-10: Cohen picked up a pair of wins, including one by major decision. He was named to the inaugural ECWC All-Academic Team.

2008-09: Cohen collected his first collegiate championship at the Alfred State Invitational, winning the 133-pound title. His performance included a pin and a major decision.

High School: A 2008 graduate of Williamsville East High School, Cohen was coached by Henry Fomerelle. He was a three-time team MVP and the Section VI champion as a senior.

Personal: A sport management major, he is the son of Larry and Michelle Cohen.
