ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca men's swimming & diving team (4-0) placed first in all 16 events in a 231-67 victory over Cortland Saturday afternoon at the Athletics & Events Center Aquatics Pavilion.
Senior
Jeff Rapp (Liverpool/Liverpool) swam on the opening-event winning 200-yard medley relay which won in 1:38.64. He then went on to individual victories in the 100-yard backstroke (54.99 seconds), 200-yard backstroke (2:00.88) and 200-yard individual medley (2:02.72).
The other members of the winning 200 medley relay were sophomore
Connor White (Fox Lane/Pound Ridge), junior
Jake Lichter (Weston/Weston, Mass.) and freshman
Peter Knight (Franklin D. Roosevelt/Hyde Park).
White also won the 100-yard butterfly in 54.40 seconds and
Lichter won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:01.68.
Knight won the 50 free in 21.99 seconds.
Freshman
Clement Towner (Lansing/Lansing) was a double winner, as he finished first in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:09.59 and the 500 free in 4:58.18. Senior diver
Derek Rand (Amity Regional/Orange, Conn.) won the 1-meter competition with 265.10 points and the 3-meter with 247.55 points.
Four other Bombers won individual events – junior
Chris Cadwell (C.W. Baker/Baldwinsville) in the 200 free (1:47.70), sophomore
Taylor Van Cott (Bethlehem/Delmar) in the 200 fly (2:00.82), junior
Jake Robbins (Fairport/Fairport) in the 100 free (48.77 seconds) and sophomore
Cheffy Thomas (Carmel/Carnel, Ind.) in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:18.12).
The Bombers concluded the meet with a winning time of 1:27.44 in the 200-yard freestyle relay with the group of sophomore

Zack Kundel (Bethlehem/Glenmont).
The Bombers return to action Nov. 19 when Ithaca hosts a quad meet with Hamilton, Hartwick and Geneseo.
