ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's and women's swimming and diving programs, under the direction of head coach Mike Blakely-Armitage '00, announced the hiring of Kyle Brown as the program's Assistant Swimming Coach & Assistant Aquatics Coordinator.

"Kyle rose to the top of a competitive applicant pool where he instantly clicked with our staff and student-athletes," said Blakely-Armitage.  "He will be an immediate asset to our current team and bringing future Bombers to campus."

Brown joins Ithaca after serving as a graduate assistant with Westminster College's swimming & diving programs. During his time with the Titans, he earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in general management. Brown played an integral role in the program's success, coaching student-athletes to five All-PAC First Team selections, five All-PAC Second Team honors, and two individual PAC champions.

Prior to collegiate coaching, Brown served as an Assistant Coach for the West Hartford Aquatic Team from 2023-24. While working with the club, they had swimmers qualify for meets ranging from Age Group Championships to Olympic Trials.

"I am beyond excited to join the Bomber family at Ithaca College," said Brown. "From the moment I met with this team and the coaching staff, it was clear how special the culture is.  I cannot wait to get on deck, build strong relationships, and pursue excellence every day with this team. Go Bombers!"

Brown swam collegiately at NCAA Division I Bryant University where he earned his bachelor's degree in Team and Project Management and helped the Bulldogs to two conference championships in the Northeast Conference.

A native of South Windsor, Connecticut, Brown will begin his appointment with Ithaca College on June 15.
