Rochester, N.Y. - The Ithaca men's tennis team (14-2, 7-0 Empire 8) remained unbeaten in Empire 8 play with a 9-0 road win against St. John Fisher (4-8, 3-4 Empire 8) Tuesday afternoon. The match was moved indoors and played at Mendon Racquet Club due to cold temperatures and precipitation. In its seven conference wins this year, Ithaca has yielded only seven team points to its opponents, with a 37-5 record in singles play and a 19-2 mark in doubles action.

The bottom of the Ithaca lineup came through with impressive wins in the shutout victory as freshman Josh Berggrun (Orange/Pepper Pike, Ohio) and junior Dan Adelman (Pomfret School/Hampton, Conn.) teamed up for an 8-0 win at third doubles. Berggrun won 6-0, 6-2 at fifth singles and Adelman was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at sixth singles.

Ithaca, ranked 16th in the Northeast Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, closes its regular season Saturday at home with a noon match against Elmira.
