Baseball Loses to Cal Lutheran

David Ahonen picked up two RBI

Thousand Oaks, Calif.--The Bombers (0-7) dropped a game to Cal Lutheran (13-9) Saturday afternoon, falling 14-6 to Kingsmen. Senior Jon Krakower (The Berkshire School/Albany) hit his first career home run, a leadoff shot. He scored three runs in the game.

Junior Trevor Wolf (Lansing/Freeville) had a career-high three hits against the Kingsmen, driving in three runs and scoring two. He hit a pair of doubles and a triple.Wolf is hitting .350 on the season, ranking second on the team with seven hits.

Classmate David Ahonen (Victor/Farmington) knocked in two runners. He hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth and an RBI single in the seventh.

Freshman Nick Carlson (Canandaigua Academy/Canandaigua) recorded his first multi-hit game, going 2-for-4.

Pitching in relief, sophomore Brian Eggleston (Chenago Valley/Binghamton) threw three innings and allowed just one earned run. Freshman Ian Gaule (Columbia/East Greenbush) entered in the eighth and threw a scoreless inning.

Ithaca closes California play Sunday with a game at Whittier.
