ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca men's tennis team (8-2) defeated the Rochester Institute of Technology (0-2) 8-1 in a dual match Thursday at the Reis Tennis Center. Ithaca won five of the six singles matches, which were played first, and swept all three doubles matched.

The Bombers' top four singles positions all won in straight sets. Junior Taylor Borda (West Morris-Mendham/Chester, N.J.) and sophomore Josh Rifkin (Homestead/Fort Wayne, Ind.) won at first and second singles and teamed up to win at first doubles. Jimmy Newton (Florida Virtual School/Englewood, Fla.) was a straight-sets winner at third singles and junior Danny Wolk (The Field School/Potomac, Md.) also won in two sets at fourth singles.

Ithaca returns to action March 28 at New York University.
