#12 Bombers Rout Nazareth in Record-Tying 12th Straight Win

Jordan Marcus scored 25 points, shattering his previous career-high of 12.

ITHACA, N.Y.—The 12th-ranked Bombers (12-0, 4-0 Empire 8) exploded for 122 points in a 122-90 win over Nazareth to stay perfect on the season and pick up their 12th straight victory, matching the 1963-64 team for the longest winning streak in school history. Ithaca's point total was the second-highest in school history. Seniors Sean Burton (Notre Dame/Yorkville) and Jeff Bostic (Geneva/Geneva) each picked up double-doubles against the Golden Flyers (2-8, 1-3 Empire 8), with Burton setting a new career-high with 14 assists.

The school record for points in a game is 123, set against Rochester Institute of Technology in 1968. This year's team has eclipsed 100 points in a game for the third time this season, a first for any team in the program's 79-year history. Freshman Jordan Marcus (Solomon Schechter/West Orange, N.J.) led the team in scoring with 25 points off the bench, a new career-high for the guard. Marcus shot 8-for-15 from the floor, including 5-for-10 from beyond the arc.

Burton and senior Sean Leahy (West Genesee/Syracuse) each scored 17 points for the Bombers. Burton's double-double was the fourth of his career. With 429 career assists he is now ranks second in school history in that category.

Bostic contributed 13 points and 13 rebounds for his 25th career double-double.

Graduate student Scott Ruffrage (Utica Notre Dame/Whitesboro) and sophomore Chris Cruz (WestGenesee/Camillus) also reached double figures in points with 11 and 10, respectively.

As a team, the Bombers shot better than 51% from the field. They out-rebounded Nazareth 45-35.

Ithaca returns to action Sunday with a 2 p.m. game at RIT.
