ITHACA, N.Y. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released its Academic All-District Team for the 2025-26 men's basketball season on March 24, and three members of the Ithaca College program were honored.
In order to be eligible for CSC Academic All-District consideration, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in academic standing with at least at 3.50 grade-point average. For basketball, a student-athlete must also have played in 90-percent, or started in 67-percent, of a team's contests.
The three members of the IC program recognized this season are
Alex Penders,
Cole Wissink and
Matthew Zenker.
Penders is a junior politics major with a 3.87 GPA from Foxborough, Mass. Penders played in all 26 games this season and made 10 starts as he averaged 5.7 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.
Wissink is a senior computer science major with a 3.51 GPA from Woodbridge, Conn. Wissink was a captain on this year's team and started all 26 games where he averaged 3.6 points and 1.8 rebounds.
Zenker is a junior business analytics major with a 3.57 GPA from New York, N.Y. Zenker started and played in 25 contest this year and was named Liberty League Second Team. He contributed 16.1 points and 5.2 rebounds, which were both second-best on the team.
