– The Ithaca men's tennis team (2-1) swept both singles matches and all three doubles matches en route to a 5-0 win over Hobart Sunday.
Jimmy Newton (Florida Virtual School/Englewood, Fla.) and
Josh Rifkin (Homestead/Ft. Wayne, Ind.) each picked up a singles and doubles victories on the day.
Newton defeated Kevin King in first singles 6-3, 6-1 and teamed up with
Mike Muraco (Fayetteville-Manlius/Manilius) to win second doubles 8-2.
Rifkin won second singles over Matt Chin 6-1, 6-0 while also recording a win in first doubles with teammate
Taylor Borda (West Morris-Mendham/Chester, N.J.) 8-1.
Daniel Adelman (Pomfret School/Hampton, Conn.) and
Andrew Dunnick (Ithaca/Ithaca) teamed up in third doubles to account for the Bombers' final victory of the day.
The Bombers will participate in the Middlebury Invitational, which takes place Friday through Sunday in Middlebury, Vt.
