GENEVA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's basketball team was dealt its first Liberty League loss of the season at Hobart College on Saturday afternoon, as the Bombers fell to the Statesmen, 87-80. Ithaca is now 6-5 overall this season and 3-1 in the Liberty League.

The Bombers dominated most of the first half and led by as many as 11 points on two different occasions, 19-8 and 30-11, but over the final seven minutes of the half, Hobart went on a 20-7 run to take a 39-37 lead into intermission and never trailed again.

Ithaca shot 50-percent (14-for-28) in the first half and was nearly as proficient from 3-point range at 45.5% (5-for-11).

Logan Wendell played a major part in Ithaca's hot start as he notched 11 points in the first half and finished the afternoon with a game-high 29 points on 9-of-20 shooting and 8-of-9 at the free throw line.

In the second half, Evan Cabral knotted the contest at 39-39 less than a minute in, but that was the final tie of the matchup. The Bombers were able to keep it to within a point over the next two minutes, but a
9-1 spurt by Hobart over the ensuing three minutes pushed the spread out to nine at 57-48.
