RESULTS
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Ithaca College gymnastics team made the trip out to Springfield College for a dual meet on Sunday and posted a score of 185.925 to Springfield's 187.525. The Bombers are now 1-5 in head-to-head competition this season.
IC's best performance of the afternoon came on the floor as the Bombers totaled 48.075, besting the Pride's 47.825.
Nicole Lonski finished second overall and led the Bombers with a 9.700 routine, while
Grace Murray turned in 9.625 to place fourth.
Skye Cohen tied for fifth with
Corey Foster at 9.600, while
Cameryn Nichols posted 9.550 and
Meghan Bell rounded out the routine with 9.525.
Ithaca's second-best rotation was the beam with 46.975 to be narrowly edged by Springfield with a 47.000.
Emily Kobusky was the top routine at 9.675, while Foster scored her second 9.600 of the day. Nichols dismounted with a 9.400, while
Julia O'Sullivan and
Caitlin Pellegrino both scored over 9.0 with 9.300 and 9.025.
The Bombers then finished the vault with 46.575 but fell behind the Pride in this rotation with 47.825. Cohen paced IC on vault with 9.550, which tied for third, while
Samantha Nothnagel placed sixth at 9.500. Bell tied for seventh with 9.475 and Lonski took ninth at 9.150.
IC scored 44.300 on bars, compared to 44.875 for the Pride. Cohen finished second at 9.225 and
Zoe Kyriakopoulos finished with 9.000 for the only two routines to eclipse that mark. O'Sullivan and Goodwin came in sixth and seventh with 8.750 and 8.725.
The Bombers have a busy week coming up as they head to Cornell on Sunday, February 12 and then return home for the Rumble and Tumble with Cortland on February 15 and then follow up with the Harriet Marranca Invitational on the 19th.
