ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College golf program gets the fall portion of its schedule underway this weekend, as the Bombers travel to the St. Lawrence Invitational on September 3-4 at Oliver Appleton Golf Course in Canton, N.Y. Tee times are 1 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday, and

Ithaca is coming off a third place finish at the Liberty League Championships during the 2021-22 campaign, which also resulted in second place showings at the Cortaca Northeast Invitational and the Williams Invitational.
Head coach
Keith Batson, now in his sixth season, welcomes back three returners and two newcomers to the team this year. Batson also filled out his coaching staff with
Caitlin McGrinder '22, who will serve as a graduate assistant coach.
The Bombers will be led by seniors
Mary Gersec and
Cristea Park, along with sophomore
Rheanna DeCrow. Looking to make an impact in their first-year with the program are
Lane Kaminski and
Annika Michel.
Park was a second-team all-Liberty League performer in 2021-22 and carded a season average of 81.8 during her junior campaign. She fired a low round of 74 during the year and notched four top 10 finishes across nine events.
Gersec was a Liberty League First-Team selection in 2020-21 and won the William Smith Dual to open the season last fall. Gersec owned a season average of 83.9 strokes and carded a low of 77 last year.
DeCrow posted a solid rookie campaign last year with a season average of 85.6, which included a pair of top 10 finishes. DeCrow posted a season-best score of 78 at St. Lawrence in the fall.
Kaminski comes to IC after a successful high school career at Thorpeapple Kellogg in Middleville, Mich., where she was a two-time all-conference performer
Michel was a five-year player at Clarence High School in Clarence Center, N.Y. and was a two-time state qualifier. She was a part of five league championships and helped extend her high school's undefeated seasons streak to 13.
After this weekend's opening invitational at St. Lawrence, the Bombers head to Hamilton College on September 10-11. IC then travels to New York City to compete in the NYU Invitational on September 17-18. The following weekend, Ithaca will compete at Williams College for a two-day event and then conclude the fall season with a home invitational on October 1-2.
