ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's track & field team competed in their first meet of the 2022-23 indoor season on Saturday, as the Bombers traveled across town to take part in the Greg Page Relays at Cornell University.
Ithaca's distance medley relay team of
Paloma De Monte,
Devan Adegbile,
Jillian Shea and
Joy Petersen won the event in 13:07.29, while
Rachel Rose,
Giana Haubrich, Tori Maceira and
Emily Johnson were the runners-up in 13:53.33.
Jessica Goode was the top attached runner, second overall, in the 3,000-meter run as she completed the race in a time of 10:41.27, which was more than 30 seconds faster than the next closest runner.
Meredith Garrity also ran in the 3K and finished fourth in 11:14.24.
Sara Altonen placed third in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.56 meters, while
Kennedey Heichel finished in sixth at 3.16 meters.
Jamie Rossig tied for eighth at 3.16 meters.
Moriah Byrd was a fourth place finisher in the shot put at 11.84 meters, while
Hannah Martinez placed fourth in the mile run with a time of 6:22.20, while
Rayna Wallens was fifth at 6:25.31.
IC's 4x400-meter relay of Adegbile,
Luca Pecora,
Natalie MacArthur and
Katharine Downey finished in fourth place with a time of 4:20.86. The Bombers also entered
Mia Sidor, Shea,
Emily Johnson and Haubrich, who placed seventh in 4:26.60, and
Ashanti Stanley, Rose, Petersen and
Milla Gonzalez, who followed in eighth at 4:28.97.
The Bombers are off until early January when they return to campus for the annual alumni event on the 7th.
