Women’s Track & Field Posts Several Top Marks at Cortland on Friday

CORTLAND, N.Y. –
The Ithaca College women's track & field team won four events on Friday at SUNY Cortland and four student-athletes either improved their potential NCAA-qualifying marks or moved into the top 20 nationally.

Aynisha McQuillar topped the field in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.94 seconds, which currently ranks ninth in Division III. McQuillar also finished as the runner-up in the 200-meter dash in 25.13 seconds.

Talia Hutchinson moved up to 10th on the Division III performance list in the pole vault with a first place mark of 3.75 meters. Erin Eastwood also moved into the top 20 nationally as she cleared 3.65 meters to place second.

Lily Seyfert measured out 51.92 meters in the hammer throw, which is now 12th in the nation, which was third overall in the event. Seyfert also won the shot put with a heave of 13.12 meters, and was second in the discus at 37.95 meters.

Alexis Brown won the triple jump at 10.83 meters, while Eliana Barnett and Anneliese Hubbard were fourth and fifth at 10.50 and 10.43 meters.

Kayleigh Milligan was a second place performer in the 800-meter run as she crossed the finish line in 2:20.35. Rudnicki was another runner-up in the long jump with a mark of 5.39 meters. Charlotte Powell took second in the shot put at 12.17 meters and was third in the discus with a mark of 36.51 meters.

The 4x100-meter relay of Ava Butler, Rachel Larson, McQuillar and Rudnicki took second in 48.61 seconds. The 4x400-meter relay also finished second in 4:06.85 and that team consisted of Butler, Violet Sloan, Julia Ryba and Milligan.

Carrie Redwood posted a third place showing in the javelin with a throw of 25.12 meters. Meredith Colla and Ryan went 4-5 in the 400-meter dash in times of 1:01.80 and 1:02.02.

Celia Ryan was fourth in the high jump at 1.58 meters, while Bree Boyle and Teagan Kiger each cleared 3.50 meters in the pole vault to come in third and fourth place.

Ithaca is at Cornell and Bucknell next weekend.
