Jaelyn Hershberger was right behind her with 10 of her own to lead the Ithaca College volleyball team to a three-set victory over Clarkson University. Saturday's win marked the fourth-straight for the Bombers who improved to 8-6 overall and 2-0 within the Liberty League.
The Bombers once again had a strong hitting afternoon connecting on 30 kills on 106 total attempts and the third and final set was the most competitive with 10 different ties and two lead changes. First year

IC built momentum in the first set of Saturday's match as the squad continued to hit at a solid percentage, just like they did on Friday evening in the match against St. Lawrence. Sophomore middle
Jamie Koopman notched six kills within the opening set.
Ithaca served up a pair of aces in the second set and were defensively sound with three blocks. The team once again raced out to an early lead and never looked back as they managed a 25-17 victory to go up 2-0.
The Bombers had four blocks in the third set including
Jennifer Pitts and
Aleka Darko teaming up at the net. Darko finished with a match-best five blocks as her net presence along with
Paris Buckner disrupted the Golden Knights hitters all afternoon long. IC was up 19-17 before Clarkson forced another tie, but the Bombers ended up prevailing 25-23 for the three set-win.
With their fourth straight victory, Ithaca College will look to continue rolling with the squad hosting the University of Scranton on Friday, October 1. Game time at Ben Light Gymnasium is slated for 4 p.m.
