GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Ithaca College women's track & field team secured a fourth place finish at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday at Irwin Belk Track with 38.33 points. Ithaca went into the final day of competition in first place with three competitors left – those three all recorded All-American performances on the day to add 13 points towards the team total.
Parley Hannan highlighted Saturday with another national championship performance, as she won the 5,000-meter run.

Katelyn Hutchison and
Samantha Healy were also in action on Saturday. Hutchison was set to compete in the 400-meter run, while Healy took on the hammer throw event. A weather delay at approximately 2 p.m. delayed the hammer throw and 5,000-meter run, but Hutchison was able to finish her 400 race before the storm rolled through.
Hutchison qualified for the 400 with the third-fastest preliminary time and finished her championship race in seventh at 56.25 seconds as she was barely edged out for sixth by .04 seconds.
Healy was seeded 11th in the hammer throw and outperformed the field, moving up to eighth and earning a spot on the podium with a final mark of 50.68 meters. Facing the possibility of not advancing to the final three throws after heaves of 48.08 and 45.00 meters, Healy launched her best mark at 50.68 meters. That mark would hold up for the remainder of the event to give Healy her first All-American performance of her career.
Over the 2021 Division III Championships, Ithaca notched three individual national titles and seven All-Americans.
