Ithaca, N.Y. - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released its all-region teams for the 2021 season and five Bombers were named to the All-Empire Region Team. The honors add to an already impressive resume for the 2021 squad, which finished the season 14-2 and made it to the NCAA Quarterfinals for just the second time in program history, and won two NCAA Tournament games in the same season for the first time in program history. Eight Bombers were named to the Liberty League all-league squads and senior Jacqui Hallack was named Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year while coaches Karrie Moore and Bailey Herr earned Coaching Staff of the Year honors.Â
A trio of Bombers were named first team all-region by the IWLCA. Hallack was one of the three honorees, leading the way for the Bombers all season and finishing tops on the squad in goals (79), points (95), free position goals (18), and draw controls (100). Hallack's 79 goals set a new program record for goals in a season, and she did so in a shorter season that featured just two non-conference games. Hallack also moved into second all time in career goals with 186.
Caroline Grant and Rachel Rosenberg were the other two Bombers named to the first-team all-region squad. Grant was a versatile player for Ithaca all season, taking draws and playing on both ends of the field for the Bombers. Grant finished the season with 22 goals, seven assists, 39 draw controls, nine caused turnovers and 17 ground balls. Rosenberg was the anchor on the Bombers defense and also was solid around the draw control circle with Grant and Hallack. She finished the season with team highs in caused turnovers (34), and ground balls (38), and was able to notch five assists.Â
Madison Boutureira and Molly Nodiff were the two Bombers who earned second team all-region honors. Boutureira was a reliable source of offense four the Bombers, as she finished first on the team in assists (16), and was third on the team in points (46). She also scored 30 goals and picked up 24 ground balls. Nodiff was equally as reliable on the other end, typically drawing some of the other team's top attackers. Nodiff finished the 2021 campaign with 20 caused turnovers and 28 ground balls.
