GENESEO, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's track & field program competed in their final tune-up meet at SUNY Geneseo on Saturday before the Liberty League Championships next weekend. Next Saturday, IC heads to the University of Rochester for the Liberty League West competitions.
Ithaca claimed the top three spots in the 100-meter dash as
Jalen Leonard-Osbourne won in 10.79 seconds,
Aaron Davis finished second at 11.25 and
Samuel Panzer was third in 11.42.
IC's 4x100-meter relay team of
Akap Takor, Panzer,
Jordyn Harrigan and Leonard-Osbourne secured a first place performance in 42.22 seconds.
Robert Greenwald won the high jump at 1.96 meters, while
Dom Mikula was second (first among attached) in the pole vault at 5.06 meters.
Brendan Sheehan finished third in the pole vault at 4.46 meters and
Callum Howald was fourth with a clearance of 4.31 meters.
Alex Whatley was a runner-up in the 800-meter run in 1:58. 02, while Harrigan finished fourth in the 200-meter dash at 22.99 seconds and Davis came in sixth at 23.07.
The 4x400-meter relay squad of
Hunter Stuart,
Alec Hofer, Whatley and Jon Sadanaga were second in 3:36.85.
Zachary Woodruff took second in the 400-meter hurdles at 57.91 seconds, while
Benjamin Tiber posted a time of 4:06.02 in the 1500-meter run to finish third overall. Matt Morgan finished fifth in the 400 hurdles in 1:01.13.
Takor came in third in the long jump at 6.72 meters and
Spencer Whitmore was third in the triple jump at 13.00 meters.
Luke Tobia finished third in the shot put with a mark of 13.74 meters, while
Justin Showstead was fourth at 13.70 meters. Sheehan took third in the discus at 41.37 meters and Tobia was second in the hammer throw at 51.22 meters. Showstead took first in the javelin at 47.37 meters.
