RESULTS
GENESEO, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's track & field team was back in action on Saturday afternoon at SUNY Geneseo for a tri-meet with Rochester. The Bombers set multiple personal records on the day.
Luke Tobia set a new PR in the shot put with a first place finish of 14.56 meters, while
Dom Mikula set his own school record in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.96 meters to place first overall.
Akap Takor, Sam Panzer,
Jordyn Harrigan and
Jalen Leonard-Osbourne won the 4x100-meter relay in a time of 42.45 seconds.
Leonard-Osbourne, Panzer and Takor went 1-2-3 in the 100-meter dash with times of 10.98, 11.49 and 11.64 seconds. Harrigan finished in fifth at 11.78 seconds.
Justin Showstead won the javelin at 50.33 meters and
Tyler Scerbo followed in second with a mark of 45.53 meters. Tobia and Showstead finished second and third in the hammer with marks of 54.14 and 49.42 meters. Scerbo came in seventh at 34.12 meters.
In the discus,
Brendan Sheehan won at 38.87 meters, while Showstead came in third with a mark of 38.09 meters. Tobia and Scerbo were fifth and sixth at 36.73 and 36.55 meters.
Nathaniel Oczkowski set a new PR and just missed a school record in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.67 seconds. Harrigan prevailed in the 200-meter dash in 23.58 seconds.
Daniel Monchek won the 110-meter hurdles in 15.40 seconds, while Oczkowksi was the runner-up at 15.96 seconds.
Callum Howald cleared 4.10 meters in the pole vault to finish second, while
Thomas Fine was third at 3.95 meters.
Spencer Whitmore posted a second place finish in the long jump at 6.36 meters, while
Daniel Monchek finished in a tie for fourth at 6.32 meters.
Gabriel Khalife took third in the high jump at 1.78 meters.
IC went 5-to-8 in the 400-meter dash as
Jack Culhane led the way with a time of 52.86 seconds.
Zachary Woodruff was sixth at 52.91, while
Hunter Stuart took sixth in 53.17 and
Steven Floros was seventh at 53.34 seconds.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Woodruff, Stuart, Oczkowski and
Ian Ertel were third with a time of 3:35.11, while Jon Sadanaga,
Nicholas Reyes,
Ryan Bieber and Benjamin Coates took fourth in a time of 3:49.01.
Floros was a sixth place runner in the 200 at 24.22 and Culhane finished eighth with a time of 24.46 seconds.
Sadanaga came in fifth in the 800-meter run at 2:01.54 and Bieber was sixth in 2:02.32.
Patrick Bierach posted a time of 4:16.25 in the 1500-meter run to place sixth overall. Reyes was seventh in the 400 hurdles at 1:03.62 and
Mark Puskey finished eighth with a time of 1:06.06.
The Bombers head to RIT next Friday for a tri-meet and other members of the team will compete at Cortland next Saturday.
