ITHACA, N.Y. – The Liberty League released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon, March 29 and Ithaca College was well-represented across spring sports teams as seven student-athletes were named performers of the week. An additional five Bombers landed on the weekly honor roll.

BASEBALL
Garrett Callaghan, the Liberty League Player of the Week for the second straight week, went 7-for-13 (.538) over three games last week with three home runs, nine RBI, four runs scored, two doubles, one triple and two walks. Callaghan began the week with a 1-for-4 afternoon against Alfred State, with his one hit coming as a game-winning solo home run. Over the weekend against Rochester, he opened the doubleheader with a 2-for-5 afternoon with five RBI, a double and home run. Callaghan concluded the week by hitting for the cycle against U of R and added three more RBI.
Louis Fabbo hit 4-for-12 in three games last week with four RBI, three runs scored, a double and two walks. Fabbo drove in two runs in a win over Alfred State in a 1-for-4 effort and then scored three runs with two RBI as he batted 3-for-5 in a Game One loss to Rochester.

MEN'S LACROSSE

Connor Thornton, the Defensive Performer of the Week, made 25 saves in two games last week for Ithaca. Thornton stopped 16 shots in a 17-7 win over Nazareth with four ground balls and then made nine saves in a 17-9 loss to St. John Fisher with five more ground balls.

John Sramac, the Rookie of the Week, tallied eight goals and four assists for 12 points in a 1-1 week for Ithaca. Sramac also scooped up eight ground balls. In a 17-7 win over Nazareth, Sramac scored five goals with two assists and five ground balls. He then added three goals, two assists and three ground balls in a 17-9 loss at St. John Fisher.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE

Jacqui Hallack repeated as Offensive Performer of the Week after totaling 11 goals and two assists for 13 points, to go along with 16 draw controls in a 2-0 weekend for Ithaca as the Bombers defeated RIT, 19-8 and 21-9. On Friday, Hallack scored five goals (two free position) with an assist and six draws at RIT. The following day, she scored six goals with another assist and 10 draws.
MEN'S TRACK & FIELD

Andy Frank, the men's Track Performer of the Week, won the 200-meter dash in 21.91 seconds and the 400-meter dash in 49.48 seconds in a dual meet with Cortland on Saturday to open the 2021 outdoor season.

Dom Mikula, the men's Field Performer of the Week, surpassed his own school record in the pole vault with a first place finish of 4.90 meters, surpassing his previous outdoor best of 4.88 meters, at Cortland to open the 2021 outdoor season.

WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD

Parley Hannan, the women's Track Performer of the Week, blew away the field at Cortland and Ithaca's school record in the 5000-meter run with a time of 16:17.94. Hannan won the event by 2:42 and surpassed the previous school record by 18 seconds, which was set by Taryn Cordani in 2017 – 16:35.71. Hannan's race is also the fifth-fastest time in NCAA Division III history.

Ariyahna Bernard took the top spot in the shot put with a mark of 12.49 meters at Cortland on Saturday to open the 2021 outdoor season. Bernard also won the hammer throw with a performance of 48.69 meters.
SOFTBALL
Julia Loffredo opened the 2021 season in one of the most exciting ways imaginable as she went 7-for-7 with three home runs, eight RBI and six runs scored in a doubleheader sweep of Elmira. She then added three more runs and two RBI against RIT. Against Elmira, she went 3-for-3 in the opener with a homer, three RBI and two runs. She then went 4-for-4 in Game Two with a pair of home runs, a double, five RBI and four runs.
Beth Fleming fired a pair of complete game shutout victories to start the season for Ithaca. Fleming began with an 11-strikeout effort over 5.0 innings with one hit allowed against Elmira and then fanned seven more batters in a 5.0 innings and gave up five hits versus RIT.

MEN'S TENNIS

Minos Stavrakas won his first singles flight against his Houghton counterpart, 6-1, 6-4, as Ithaca swept Houghton, 9-0, to open the 2021 season. Stavrakas also won in first doubles, 8-3.
