Women's Golf Performer of the Week – Helena Winterberg
Helena Winterberg took second overall out of 51 golfers at the Hamilton Invitational with 152 (+8) and was one shot back of the first place finisher. Winterberg carded a 75 (+3) on Saturday and followed up with 77 (+5) on Sunday. She fired four birdies over the weekend, two each day, and was just one over on the front nine.
Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week – Lola Gitlin
The highlight for the Bombers at the Paul Short Run was junior
Lola Gitlin, who took home the only top 75 finish, placing 56th overall and moving up 23 positions from the first mile to the finish with a time of 22:20 in her first 6K race.
Football Defensive Performer of the Week – Joe Spirra
Joe Spirra made 13 total tackles with eight coming as solo stops with 0.5 tackles for loss and two pass breakups during Ithaca's 10-6 Liberty League win at Rochester on Saturday.
Men's Tennis Singles Performer of the Week – Ivan Kisic
Sophomore
Ivan Kisic delivered a standout performance at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships this past weekend, finishing as the runner-up in the top singles flight. He went 4-1 and opened his impressive run with a hard-fought victory over Jonas Santos, rallying for a 6-3, 4-6, 10-7 win. He continued his momentum in the Round of 32, outlasting Skidmore's Yuval Goodman in another three-set battle, 7-5, 0-6, 10-6. Kisic would then defeat Skidmore's Fletcher King in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, before advancing past TCNJ's Alberto Thomas with a pair of 6-4 sets in the semifinals. He faced No. 2 seeded Tarun Korwar of Hamilton College, ultimately falling 6-1, 6-3 to finish runner-up.
HONOR ROLL
Caleb Wandell was a difference maker in Ithaca's 10-6 win at Rochester on Saturday as he made a 43-yard field goal and his only PAT of the game. Wandell also averaged 40.2 yards on four punts with a long of 47 yards.
Naomi Clauhs tallied a match-best 13 kills as she swung at a .278% clip in the straight-set sweep victory over RIT last week.
Sophie White helped the Bombers pick up a 1-1 tie at Skidmore as they improved to 3-4-3 on the season.
Julia D'Anza sent a through ball into the center of the box where White collected the pass and slotted it past Skidmore goalkeeper in the 74
th minute. It was Ithaca's first goal scored in over 560 minutes played.
