Men’s Basketball Hangs Program Record 124 Points on Alfred State

ALFRED, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's basketball team rebounded from a tough loss last night and posted a program record in points scored, as the Bombers defeated Alfred State, 124-80, on Saturday afternoon at the Orvis Activities Center. The win for Ithaca on Saturday also marks the first victory on South Hill for head coach Waleed Farid.

The Bombers' 124 points on Saturday tops the program's previous best output of 123 points set back on February 6, 1968, in a 123-117 victory against RIT. Ithaca went 45-of-78 from the field (57.7-percent) and made 19-of-38 attempts from 3-point range. The Bombers also pulled down 57 rebounds and dished out 32 assists.

IC trailed only once in the game (4-2) and led by as many as 46 points. The Bombers also received 66 points from their bench and netted 41 points on fast break chances. All 15 players scored for IC on Saturday.

After pouring in 53 points during the first half and taking a 53-31 lead into halftime, Ithaca erupted for 71 points over the final 20 minutes of action as the Bombers were 24-of-38 from the floor and 10-of-17 from distance.

Logan Wendell was the story for IC on Saturday as the first-year dropped 33 points off the bench in just 15 minutes of action. Wendell went 11-for-14 overall and was 7-of-10 from 3-point range. He also was 4-for-4 at the line.

Luka Radovich tallied 15 points with six rebounds, while Liam Spellman chipped in 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting (4-of-6 from distance) with seven boards. Andrew Geschickter also eclipsed double digits in points with 13, to go along with four assists.

Jack Stern added 12 points in nine minutes off the bench, going 6-for-7 overall. Skylar Sinon handed out eight assists with nine points and seven rebounds, and George Sikoryak III tallied seven points, eight assists and five boards.

Bryce Bleibtrey netted nine points on a perfect 4-for-4 overall. Zach Warech handed out five assists with five rebounds and two points.

The Bombers will host Cortland on Wednesday, November 17 for their home opener at 8 p.m. inside Ben Light Gymnasium.
