High School: Spellman is a 2019 graduate of Waterford High School in Waterford, Conn. A four-time letter winner, Spellman is a two-time Connecticut basketball state champion who was named First Team All-State, First Team All Eastern Connecticut Conference, and The Day All Area Team in his senior season. Spellman was named team captain for his junior and senior seasons, while being named the team MVP and a scholar athlete in his final season. Spellman is also a two-time state champion for baseball, where he earned two more varsity letters.
Personal: A sports media major, he is the son of Dan and Denise Spellman. He has four older sisters.
