The No. 14 Ithaca College softball team lost to Bethany by a score of 7-4 in its second game at the NFCA Leadoff Classic on March 12. The Bombers had a season-high six errors in the contest. 
 
By the end of the top of the fifth inning, Bethany had a commanding 5-0 lead over the Bombers. Ithaca scored for the first time in the bottom of the sixth to cut the lead to 5-2. Headed into the bottom of the seventh inning, the Bison had a 7-4 lead over IC. Ithaca was only able to score two more runs and could not complete the comeback. 
 
Sophomore Leigh Bonkowski hit her 10th home run of her career while going 2-for-3 with two RBI. Senior Sara Durant went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Junior Abbey Pelot allowed nine hits and had five strikeouts in the loss. The Bombers will take on Coe College at 10 a.m. March 13 in LaGrange, Ga.
