ITHACA, N.Y. – Two standout members of the Ithaca College softball team have been recognized on the 2025 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III Region III All-Region Team. Senior shortstop Sela Scheinman earned her first career All-Region honor with a selection to the Second Team, while senior pitcher Anna Cornell was named to the First Team, marking her fourth consecutive All-Region accolade.

Cornell, the ace of the Bombers' pitching staff, capped off a stellar collegiate career with a dominant 2025 season. In 25 appearances, she posted a 16–5 record and a 1.31 ERA, which ranks 20th nationally in Division III. Her 11.0 strikeouts per seven innings placed her third in the nation, and she led the Liberty League in both opponent batting average (.172) and strikeouts (201).

Over her four-year career, Cornell etched her name into the Ithaca record books. She graduates as the program's all-time strikeouts leader (665), while also holding the lowest opponent batting average (.188) in school history. She ranks seventh in complete games (53) and compiled an impressive 52–22 career record on the South Hill.

Sela Scheinman's Second Team selection highlights a breakout senior campaign at shortstop. She started all 38 games this season and posted a career-best .347 batting average, tallying one home run, one triple, 13 doubles, and 18 RBI. She scored 37 runs and drew 21 walks, extending her program record to 99 career walks. On the basepaths, she was a constant threat, finishing her career as Ithaca's all-time leader in stolen bases with 55, including an 18-for-20 mark during the 2025 season.

Ithaca finished the season with a 30-8 overall record, which included winning the 2025 Liberty League Championship and finished with a 2-2 record at a four-team NCAA Regional hosted at Kostrinsky Field to tie for 17th place nationally.
