Ithaca vs Cazenovia, April 14, 2001

The Ithaca College softball team swept its doubleheader against Cazenovia College, winning the first game 3-1 and the second game 8-0.

The Bombers scored two runs in the first inning to take an early 2-0 lead. Cazenovia scored its lone run in the fourth inning to cut the lead to 2-1 and the Bombers scored one more run in the top of the seventh inning.
 
All three RBI came from sophomore Liz Yentema as she went 1-for-4. Sophomore Kim Stephens and junior Mairin Dudek each went 1-for-3.
 
Sophomore Abby Hanrahan only allowed two hits and recorded a season-high 14 strikeouts through seven innings pitched.
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 8, Cazenovia 0
 
Ithaca scored first in the first inning to take an early 1-0 lead and added three runs in the top of the third inning to take a 4-0 lead. The Bombers scored two runs in each of the fifth and sixth innings to secure the 8-0 win in six innings.
 
Yentema finished the second game going 2-for-4 with three RBI and senior Laura Remia went 4-for-4 with two runs scored. Junior Kristin Furdon finished the game with two RBI and one run scored.

Hanrahan pitched a three-hitter and recorded eight strikeouts in the win.
