The Ithaca College softball team defeated Montclair State University in the first game of the Montclair Tournament, winning the game by a score of 3-1.
Ithaca scored one run early in the first inning and added a second run in the third inning to take a 2-0 lead. The Bombers tacked on another run in the fifth inning and Montclair's lone run came in the sixth inning.
Sophomore Kelle Jo Rolfe went 2-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Junior Nancy Liskiewicz added an RBI as she went 1-for-3 during the game.
Junior Stacy Johnson only allowed five hits and recorded five strikeouts in the win.
