The Ithaca College softball team defeated Bridgewater State University 6-0 in the team's first game at the Montclair State/William Paterson Tournament.
The Bombers got on the board early with a 2-0 lead after the first inning. Ithaca then scored two more runs in the fifth and sixth innings.
Freshman Sara Coddington hit her first home run of her career. She finished the day going 2-for-3 with one RBI. Senior Kristin Furdon went 3-for-3 with two RBI and a triple, while fellow senior Kim Sebastiao went 1-for-4 with two RBI off a triple.
Junior Abby Hanrahan picked up another win as she pitched all seven innings while only giving up two hits and striking out nine.
