The Ithaca College softball team defeated Bethany College 1-0 in the team's first game at the Division III World Series. 
 
The game was scoreless until the top of the third when senior Kristin Furdon hit a solo home run. Furdon has a team-leading 11 home runs. 
 
Junior Abby Hanrahan pitched a gem for the Bombers as she only allowed three hits and struck out six batters. She is now 18-7 on the season.
