The Ithaca College softball team defeated Baldwin Wallace University by a score of 9-4. The Bombers recorded a season-high 13 hits during the contest.
Ithaca went up 1-0 at the end of the second inning and then had a massive five-run inning in the third. After adding one more run in the fourth, Baldwin Wallace scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth to cut the lead to 7-2.
Both teams added one run in the fifth inning and the Bombers scored once more in the top of the sixth. The Yellow Jackets tried to start a comeback in the bottom of the seventh inning, but they only scored one more run,
Junior Alison Cole went 2-for-2 with two RBI and a double. Freshman Sara Durant added two RBI as well, going 2-for-4 during the game.
Junior Abby Hanrahan earned her second win of the season as she pitched all seven innings and struck out eight batters.
