Ithaca vs Cazenovia, 2003

The No. 13 Ithaca College softball team split its doubleheader with Cazenovia College, winning the first game 5-1 and losing the second game 5-3. 
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 5, Cazenovia 1
 
Ithaca scored first in the top of the second inning to take a 3-0 lead. Cazenovia scored its lone run of the game in the bottom of the second inning to cut the lead to 3-1. The Bombers scored two more runs in the top of the seventh to secure the win. 
 
Junior Kerri Barber hit her first home run of the season, as she finished the first game going 2-for-4 with two RBI. Junior Sara Durant went 2-for-3 with one RBI. 
 
Senior Abby Hanrahan picked up her fifth win of the season. She finished the game with three strikeouts. 
 
Game 2 | Cazenovia 5, Ithaca 3
 
The Bombers were on the board first with two runs in the top of the fourth inning. Cazenovia quickly responded in its half of the inning to cut the lead to 2-1. Even though the Bombers scored one more run in the top of the sixth, it was not enough as Cazenovia scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth. 
 
Durant had a big game at the plate as she finished 2-for-3 with two RBI and a double. Sophomore Abbey Pelot is now 6-3 on the year for the Bombers.
