The Ithaca College softball team defeated Marietta College by a score of 2-1. The Bombers are now 3-0 to start the season. 
 
Ithaca jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the stop of the second inning. Marietta tied the game in the bottom of the third inning and the Bombers took the 2-1 lead in the top of the fourth inning. 
 
Freshman Angela Ellis recorded the team's lone RBI of the game. Sophomore Jeanine Bleau, and freshmen Tracy Welliver and Ellen Mullin, all went 1-for-2 on the day. 
 
Freshman Nicki Swan gave up nine hits and struck out eight batters in the contest.
