Ithaca vs Bridgewater State, May 13, 1994

The Ithaca College softball team lost its opening game of the NCAA Northeast Regional against Bridgewater State University, losing the game 3-2 in nine innings. 
 
The game was tied 2-2 headed into the ninth inning as the Bengals scored the winning run in their half of the inning. 
 
Bridgewater State took an early 1-0 in the first inning, but the Bombers took the lead in the second inning with two runs of their own. The Bengals tied the contest with one run in the fifth inning. 
 
Sophomore Jennifer Hoselton went 2-for-3 with one RBI and freshman Tracy Welliver went 1-for-4 with one RBI. Sophomore Jennifer Blum finished the game with two doubles as she went 2-for-4 with one run scored. 
 
Freshman Nicki Swan only allowed five hits through 8.7 innings pitched and had five strikeouts.
