The Ithaca College softball team defeated Hartwick College in both games of the doubleheader, winning 12-1 in five innings in the first game and 9-2 in the second game. 
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 12, Hartwick 1
 
Ithaca scored an incredible eight runs in the second inning to take an early lead, and the Bombers added four runs in the top of the third inning to go up 12-0. The Hawks scored their lone run in the bottom of the fifth inning. 
 
Junior Jennifer Blum went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored, while sophomore Tracy Welliver went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run. Senior Chris Pettograsso and freshman Amy McMordie both went 1-for-3 with two RBI. 
 
Sophomore Nicki Swan pitched a three-hitter and had six strikeouts in the win. 
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 9, Hartwick 2
 
The Bombers scored three runs in the top of the first inning to take an early lead and added three runs in the top of the third inning to take a 6-0 lead. Ithaca scored another run in the fourth and the Hawks put two runs on the board in the bottom of the fifth inning. 
 
Ithaca scored another two runs in the top of the seventh to go up 9-2. 
 
Blum had an incredible second game for the Bombers as she went 3-for-3 with four RBI off two home runs. McMordie went 1-for-3 with two RBI. 
 
Freshman Rebecca Lafornara allowed three hits and struck out three batters in her third win of the season.
