The Ithaca College softball team won the NCAA Northeast Regional with a win over Bridgewater State University, winning the contest 6-0.
Ithaca jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the first inning and scored another two runs in the bottom of the third inning. The Bombers added one more run in the bottom of the fourth inning to clinch the 6-0 victory.
Junior Nicki Swan went 1-for-2 with two RBI and junior Marie Kelly went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Sophomore Amy McMordie and senior Jennifer Blum each added one RBI as well.
Swan gave up four hits and struck out one batter in the win. With the win, the Bombers advance to the NCAA Division III Softball Championships in Salem, Va.
