ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's basketball team topped Bard College on Friday night, 70-31.

The Bombers were led by
Cassidy O'Malley with 20 points while first-year
Grace Cannon grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds.

Bard scored first on a three-pointer from Caleigh DeCaprio, but that would be the only the Raptors led during the game. IC gained a 5-3 edge on an
Allison Spaschak three-pointer at the 8:12 mark to take a lead and hold until for the remainder of the game.

Spaschak went on to drain two more shots from behind the arc in the following two minutes en route to 11 points against the Raptors.

An O'Malley and-one play put the Bombers up 11-points, the first double-digit lead of the game. Junior
Meghan Pickell hit a three-pointer to extend IC's lead to 15 points midway through the quarter.

The Bombers ultimately held a 17-point lead at the end of the first quarter on an
Abbi Field jump shot.

Senior
Erin Woop opened up the second quarter with a fastbreak layup on a pass from
Meghan Mazzella, giving IC a 27-8 advantage.

The Raptors added points on two three-pointers from Katie Esposito and DeCaprio, cutting the lead to 32-14.

O'Malley went on to score nine points in a row for Ithaca before
Megan Yawman hit a layup with just four seconds left to put IC up 42-18 at the half.

The Bomber came out to score the first 12 points of third quarter, including six points from O'Malley.

Bard scored its first points of the second half on a jumper from Kate Shamro at the 4:30 mark. IC outscored the Raptors 5-3 to head into the fourth quarter with a 59-23 advantage.

Junior
Mia Herlan scored all six of her points in the fourth quarter, netting two layups and two free throws.

In the final five minutes of play, first-year
Mariyah Byrd hit a jumper and followed it up with a shot from behind the arc which extended the Bombers' lead to 70-40. With 32 seconds, Bards' Elena LeFevre hit the back end of a pair of free throws, which led to the final score of 70-31.

Ithaca is back in action tomorrow at 2 p.m. against Vassar for the final game of the regular-season slate. Prior the game, the Bombers will honor their four seniors –
Julie Yacovoni,
Erin Woop, Spaschak and
Jordan Beers.

The first round of the Liberty League tournament is slated to start on Tuesday evening with the quarterfinal games.
