Biography

2017-2018: Has appeared in 7 games for the Bombers this season...Byrd has a career high 7 points in a contest against Bard College. She is also 5-for-7 at the line shooting 71%. 

High School: A 2017 graduate of Newfield High School, Mariyah played varsity basketball coached by Brandon Steinorth. Mariyah earned Class D Second Team All-State her senior year. She was also named ESPN’s (Ithaca) Fueling Excellence Athlete of the Week 2/23/26 and 1/13/15. Mariyah also played soccer, football and softball.

Personal: Mariyah, daughter of Mimi and Matthew Wright and Christopher Byrd, is an Athletic Training major. Sister, Maryah Wright, and cousin, Morgan Wright, also attend Ithaca College
