ITHACA, N.Y. – This evening; the Ithaca College basketball teams will host SUNY Cortland at 6 and 8 p.m. inside Ben Light Gymnasium for "Basketball for Babies", as part of .
The teams, along with Ithaca SAAC are working with March of Dimes to help raise awareness for the climbing premature birth rate in the United States, and all proceeds generated tomorrow evening will be donated to the cause.
The nationally ranked No. 18 women tip-off at 6 p.m. against Cortland, and the men follow at 8 p.m. against their local rivals.
March of Dimes' mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
Prematurity is the No. 1 killer of babies in the United States. March of Dimes is working to change that and help more moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies.
