ITHACA, N.Y. – The No. 4 Ithaca College wrestling team will jump into the meat of its dual-meet schedule this coming weekend when it hits the road for a trio of competitive duals against top-flight competition. The Bombers open the weekend set this evening with a 7:00 p.m. tilt against undefeated No. 19 Centenary College (N.J.). IC continues its swing at Delaware Valley University tomorrow at 11:00 a.m., before wrapping up the weekend at Jamestown Community College at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Last Time Out
Ithaca captured its fourth consecutive Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC) team title the last time they were on the mats this past weekend. The Bombers posted champions in five of the 10 weight classes at the event, while they racked up 17 place-winners in total.
Nick Wahba won his third straight title at 141-pounds,
Sammy Schneider captured his first at 149-pounds,
Nick Velez won at 165-pounds,
Carlos Toribio secured his second career title at 197-pounds, and
Jake O'Brien won the 285-pound division.

Schneider has enters the weekend the winner of his last 16 bouts, while his lone loss of the season came against NCAA Division I wrestler James Dekrone of West Virginia. Toribio also carries a double-digit winning streak into the weekend with 11 straight victories dating back to the New York State Championships. Velez also has won seven straight coming into Friday's action.
