Last Time Out
The Ithaca College field hockey team pushed its record in Empire 8 Conference play back above .500 with a resounding 3-0 victory over Houghton at Higgins Stadium this past Wednesday. With game deadlocked at 0-0 coming out of halftime, the Bombers blitzed Houghton for three goals in the second half to pull away for the comfortable win.

Ithaca College Unites for HER
The IC field hockey team is partnering with student organization, Ithaca College Unites for HER, in an effort to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research. Show your support of the Bombers and this great initiative by visiting the ICUFH table for more information on how you can make a difference!

Home Cooking
Home-field advantage is something that most teams benefit from, but the confines of Higgins Stadium have been extremely friendly to the Bombers thus far this season. Ithaca has posted a 3-0 record on South Hill in 2016, outscoring its three opponents by a combined 10-1. Two of those victories have come by way of shutout, as IC has a pair of 3-0 victories over Empire 8 foes Utica and Houghton. Dating back to the beginning of last season, IC has posted an 11-3 mark at Higgins, scoring three-or-more goals nine times.

Delia Double Dips
Forward, Lauren Delia, has become a focal point of the Ithaca offense over recent contests. She marked her second multi-goal game over the last three contests, scoring a second-half brace against the Highlanders. The senior has been impeccable in using her strength and physicality to carve out positioning in opportunistic areas around the opponents cage. She will look to remain hot against the Golden Flyers on Saturday.

Scouting Nazareth
The Golden Flyers have gotten off to a difficult start to the 2016 campaign, entering the weekend with a 1-6 overall record and a 0-3 mark in Empire 8 play. Defensive, play has been the team's weak link so far, as Nazareth has allowed an average of over four goals per game and a total of 30 on the year. Jennifer Hilts is the team's most dangerous offensive threat with seven points on three goals and one assist. Despite being under siege for the majority of the season, Kimber Nourse has played well in the cage, already posting a conference-leading 100 saves on the year.

Looking Ahead
Ithaca returns to action on Tuesday, September 27, as the Bombers hit the road for a non-conference tilt against Wells College at 3:30 p.m.
