RESULTS
ITHACA, N.Y. —The nationally-ranked Ithaca College gymnastics team set a season-best team score on the uneven bars and scored the second-most points in a competition this year during Sunday's Cornell Invitational at nearby Cornell University.
Ithaca, ranked ninth in the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association's (NCGA) weekly rankings, competed against Division I schools in Cornell and Air Force Academy, as well as No. 2 The College at Brockport during Sunday's competition.
Ithaca compiled 185.900 points, 0.25 points from tying its season-best team score during the invitational.
The Bombers (3-6) scored a season-best 45.550 on the uneven bars, and accrued the second-most points this year on the floor (47.350) and the balance beam (46.175).
Ithaca placed fourth in the four-team meet, trailing Air Force Academy (191.525), Cornell (191.225), and Brockport (187.625).
Senior
Megan Harrington, the reigning NCGA East Region co-Specialist of the Week, set a season-best on both the vault and the uneven bars, as she tied for fifth on the uneven bars (9.550) and was eighth on the vault (9.450).
Sophomore
Kaylee Pacunas tied for ninth (9.425), and classmate
Melissa Hollrigl tied for 11
th (9.4) to power the Bombers on the vault.
Freshman
Carolyn Nichols tied for 12th on the floor (9.625), equaling her personal-best score, while Harrington was 16th (9.550), and sophomore
Eleanor Almeida tied for 17th (9.475).
Sophomore
Kendra Balcerak tied for ninth on the balance beam (9.50), while juniorÂ
Lynley Choate was 12th (9.425), and freshman
Nina Bustamante-Nadeau was 14th (9.350). Choate set a season-high score on the balance beam at Cornell.
The Bombers travel to Rhode Island College for a 1 p.m. meet Sunday, Feb. 21.Â
