RESULTS
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College Men's swimming and diving team captured 10 first place finishes en route to a 170-125 win over SUNY Cortland on Saturday in the A&E Center Aquatics Pavilion.
Ithaca's first top finish came in the fourth overall event as the Bombers took the 1000 yard freestyle.Â
Justin Barwick took the top spot with a time of 10:44.25 while
Marshall Hendlin captured third place in 11:04.49.
Aidan Hartswick would add to the Bombers' list of wins in the 100 yard breaststroke as the sophomore completed the event in 1:01.04 to narrowly beat out the second place finisher's time of 1:01.69. Hartswick would add another first place finish in the 200 yard IM after racing to a time of 2:05.14.Â
James Bowe and
Bradley Keith rounded out the top three in the event, finishing second and third, respectively.
Ithaca continued to show off its pace as the meet wore on as the Bombers won the 200 yard butterfly when
Addison Hebert added a top finish after touching the wall in 2:01.26. IC would go on to add another first place completion in the 50 yard free as freshman
Aaron Levin beat out six other competitors with a time of 22:00.Â
Keith was the top overall finisher in the 200 yard backstroke with a mark of 2:05.61 while Bowe was credited with the fastest time in the 200 yard breaststroke at 2:15.04.
Ithaca capped the meet's final event with another win as the team of
Lucas Radouch,
Jeremy Kingsley, Hebert and Levin posted the top time in the 400 yard freestyle relay by more than three seconds at 3:15.29.
Scott Hillen won both the one and three meter diving events for Ithaca as the freshman earned 283.75 points in the three meter before adding another 276.50 points in the one meter event.
The Bombers will have a week off before returning to action at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 21 where they will host Hartwick and Geneseo in a tri-meet at the A&E Center Aquatics Pavilion.
