Men's Swimming & Diving Suffers Rare Loss

RESULTS

TROY, N.Y. –
The Ithaca College men's swimming and diving team suffered a rare loss on Saturday as the Bombers fell to Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute, 212-83.  Ithaca claimed two first place finishes overall.  The loss marks the first regular season defeat the Bombers have suffered since a season-opening loss at RPI during the 2013 season.

Addison Hebert earned both first place finishes for the Bombers after taking the top spot in the 100-yard freestyle and the 200-yard free.

Bradley Keith, Aidan Hartswick, Aaron Levin and Hebert turned in a strong performance in the 400 medley relay, finishing second overall after completing the race in 3:37.46.

Justin Barwick narrowly missed a first place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle, taking second overall after touching the wall in 10:49.35 while Alex Rosenhein earned a second place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a final time of 57.14.

The Bombers will return to the pool at 1 p.m. on Saturday when they host Cortland at the A&E Aquatics Pavilion.
