SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Ithaca College gymnastics team scored 183.675 and dropped a dual-meet by less than one point at Springfield on Sunday as the host Pride scored 184.650. Ithaca's strongest event was balance beam, where
Maggie Nieto finished first and Ithaca claimed the top-three places on that rotation.

In addition to Nieto's first-place finish on beam with a 9.525,
Megan Harrington was second with a score of 9.475 and
Kendra Balcerak was third with a 9.45.

Harrington and
Valerie Cohen tied for second on floor exercise with scores of 9.55. Balcerak was seventh with a 9.35.

Ithaca's top scorer on uneven bars was
Kelly Nash, who placed second with a 9.45.
Megan Harrington was third on bars with a 9.2. On vault, Cohen led Ithaca with a 9.425 to take fourth, and
Ingrid Calfee was sixth with a 9.3.

Megan Harrington was second in all-around among four competitors and scored a career-best 37.5.

Ithaca competes again Sunday, Feb. 1 with a 1 p.m. home meet against Brockport at Ben Light Gymnasium.
