Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's basketball team had its five-game winning streak snapped Saturday evening, as the Bombers fell at St. John Fisher by a score of 96-70. The loss drops Ithaca's overall record to 9-8, including a mark of 5-3 in the Empire 8. St. John Fisher improves to 15-2 overall and 8-0 in conference play.

The Bombers shot 38.8 percent in the contest, hitting 26-of-67 shots from the floor. The Bombers shot 8-for-22 (36.4 percent) from beyond the arc, and 10-of-10 from the charity stripe.

Freshman Carroll Rich led the team in scoring and assists, recording 14 points and four assists in 31 minutes of play. Classmate Marc Chasin chipped in with 12 points, seven rebounds and a block in the start. Junior Sam Bevan and senior Keefe Gitto both scored eight points in 25 and 18 minutes of work, respectively.

The Cardinals started fast in the opening half, jumping out to a 24-11 lead with 11:46 to go in the frame. The Bombers responded with five-straight points, capped off by a three ball from Rich to pull the Bombers back to within single digits at 24-16. St. John Fisher picked up steam from that point forward, as the Cardinals took a 51-30 lead into the break.

The Bombers were able to chip away at the Cardinal lead on several occasions in the second half, but Ithaca was unable to overcome the deficit in the final 20 minutes of play, giving St. John Fisher the 96-70 win.

The Bombers return home for their next contest against Utica on Friday, Jan. 30. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m.
