ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca College women's tennis team fell 6-3 in a dual-match Friday night against New Paltz at Glazer Arena. The Bombers, ranked 16th in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Region rankings, picked up one win in doubles and two wins in singles play. The Bombers return to action Saturday at No. 19 Skidmore, who is ranked fifth in the region.

The third doubles team of Alyssa Steinweis and Allison Vizgaitis posted an 8-5 victory in their match to get the Bombers on the board. Cristina Nunez followed with a 6-3, 6-2 win at first singles and Marni Blumenthal closed the Ithaca ledger with a 6-2, 6-2 win at fifth singles.
