ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Ithaca College field hockey team (7-3, 2-2 E8) defeated Nazareth (3-6, 2-2 E8) Saturday afternoon, dropping the Golden Flyers by a score of 2-1. Junior

Katie Kennedy scored for the Bombers, while freshman goalkeeper
Katie Lass stopped seven shots in the victory.
Coiro netted the first goal of the contest in the 21st minute, scoring on a feed from freshman
Colleen Keegan-Twombly. Coiro's goal marked her sixth of the season, and gave the Bombers the 1-0 lead.
Ithaca added to the lead in the closing minute of the first frame, as Kennedy scored her sixth tally of the season on a feed from fellow senior
Andrea Pace. Kennedy's goal capped the scoring in the opening frame, giving Ithaca a 2-0 lead at the half.
The Golden Eagles finally got on the board in the second half, cutting the Bomber lead to 2-1 at 63:09. Ithaca tightened defensively in the remaining 17 minutes, holding Nazareth off the board to secure the Bomber victory.
Ithaca is back in action on Oct. 8, facing off against No. 14 Rochester at Higgins Stadium. The match is set to start at 6 p.m.
