ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College field hockey team (2-0) cruised to an 8-1 victory over visiting Morrisville (0-1) Saturday afternoon at Higgins Stadium.
Ithaca, who was playing its second game in as many days, defeated the Mustangs for the fifth consecutive year. It was Ithaca's largest margin of victory since an 8-1 win over Elmira in 2004.
The Bombers tallied four goals in each period with Morrisville claiming their sole score in the 62nd minute. Ithaca outshot Morrisville 33-7 and took 18 corners to the Mustangs' four.
